Zerletti's approach to photography is guided by a clear personal principle: he follows his own curiosity rather than outside expectation. He rarely arrives at a location with a fixed plan, preferring instead to let the environment speak first and respond to what he finds. This openness to the unexpected is visible across his work, where light, structure, and urban rhythm are observed rather than staged. His relationship with Nikon stretches back to a Coolpix 4300, purchased when his son was born to document family life. A turning point came when his father-in-law lent him a Nikon D5000 during a vacation, introducing him to the creative possibilities of interchangeable lenses for the first time. From that moment, he never looked elsewhere. His kit has evolved steadily through the Nikon ecosystem, from the D600 and D850 to the Nikon Z8, Nikon Zf, and Nikon Zr. Among his lenses, the Nikkor Z 70-200mm f/2.8 S holds a special place. Paired with the 2x teleconverter, it reaches 400mm and delivers the compression that transforms how Berlin's streets and skylines appear through his frame.
