Bristol-based wildlife filmmaker and photographer Roxy Hemadani brings a rare combination of scientific rigour and visual storytelling to her work, built across five years of international fieldwork and production.

My background in zoology taught me to observe patiently and ask questions. Filmmaking became the way I could translate that curiosity into something people could feel.

Choosing Nikon was about much more than the gear. It's a brand that genuinely invests in its creators, and I'm proud to be part of that community.

Roxy's artistic approach is shaped by the belief that the most powerful images are those that build empathy, encouraging audiences not simply to admire nature, but to feel invested in protecting it. She sees her camera as a bridge between science and storytelling, between awareness and action. Her journey with Nikon began after several years shooting with Canon, and it was the Nikon Z9 that first prompted her to make the switch. As a creator working fluidly across both photography and filmmaking, she needed a camera that could perform at the highest level in both disciplines without compromise, and the Z9 delivered precisely that. Since then, her kit has grown to include the Z8, Zf, Zfc, and Z30, alongside an extensive range of Nikkor Z lenses including the 400mm f/2.8, 600mm f/4, and the 135mm PLENA. Beyond the technology, it was the genuine sense of community within the Nikon ecosystem that confirmed her decision. The support she has experienced from the Nikon team, particularly during her pregnancy, reinforced that being a Nikon Creator means far more than access to exceptional gear.
