In keeping with other Nikon Z cameras, the ZR features the Nikon Z mount. As the widest mirrorless mount, it lets in more light, plus you have access to the full library of NIKKOR Z lenses (and hundreds of F mount lenses via the FTZ adapter).

However you want to record, there’s a format to suit your workflow. And the Nikon ZR also records RAW in-camera.

Large, bright and accurate, there’s no need to use an external monitor with the Nikon ZR, while the vari-angle mount means you can film at a variety of angles and still see what’s going on.

With up to 6K in-camera and slow motion at up to 240p in full HD, flexibility is at the heart of the Nikon ZR.
Autofocus points: 273 points of focal-plane phase-detection and contrast-detection AF
Superfast AF across the frame plus nine types of selectable subject detection (people, dogs, cats, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, trains, airplanes).
User presets: Cinematic video, Slow-motion video, Starscape photo and Portrait
When you want to turn on and go, useful presets are at hand.
Connections: Type-C USB (USB 3.2), Type-D HDMI, digital accessory shoe, external stereo mic (line input supported), and headphone (remote cord) connectors
The Nikon ZR is built to be used either standalone or with connected accessories via all the necessary interfaces.
Audio: three mics and five pickup patterns
Choose how your sound is captured, with front (narrow), front, rear, omnidirectional or binaural. The Nikon ZR can create a soundscape anywhere, from focused on dialogue to wide, immersive stereo.
